Okay Café is a charming café with a Swedish touch. The interior is quite minimalistic: neat tables, “shabby chic” raw walls and lots and lots of potted plants. I love stopping by here for brunch: there are so many different kinds of great food on offer that there is always something on the menu that I couldn’t manage but have to try the next time. My favourites include:
Breakfast bowls: in the picture you can see the Chia Pudding. They also serve oatmeal bowls with apple & cinnamon or peanut butter & banana.
Sandwiches: the second dish in the picture is their grilled cheese sandwich with caramelised onions. The (sourdough) bread is sourced from The Bread Station, a fantastic bakery from the area. Very satisfying.
Buns: for a quick snack, grab a delicious sticky bun (“kanelbulle”). They are baked with different flavours every day, including marzipan, cinnamon and Nutella.
At the weekends: “Plättar”, traditional Swedish pancakes with all sorts of different toppings, such as peanut butter & banana, avocado & egg or cream cheese & walnut. Great for sharing!
