Kantstrasse is not the typical street you would go searching for a good place to eat. That’s where you go to for a play or a movie on the Delphi Filmpalast, or for a visit to the beauty parlour, a furniture or lamps store, or a dentist.
Indeed, I found this cosy, hidden, tavern-like restaurant the other day when going out of the Camera Work gallery. I just heard the people chatting and the clink of steel and glass in the bordering backyard – a cute little garden that is unfortunately closed these days.
They offer a weekly menu, they change regularly. I always check their regular dishes and homemade cakes and swirls. To drink they offer a good variety of teas, juices, beers, appetizers, cocktails and stronger liquors.
For instance, the other day I had a tasty and filling spaghetti with paprika pesto and halloumi I would recommend to anyone who’s really hungry, and an orange-grapefruit juice.
