Umami serves the best Indo-Chinese food in Berlin by far. That’s a pretty bold statement, but I bet you’ll say the same once you have visited the restaurant. Umami has a lot to offer when it comes to authentic Asian food. The restaurant serves mouthwatering dishes that come with rice and noodles along with fresh vegetables and magical Chinese spices. Although the food is delicious, it is quite hard to get a table in the evening. It is better to reserve a table beforehand just to avoid any waiting at the restaurant.
The decoration and the atmosphere give you a really nice Asian vibe – for instance, the lanterns and the artwork. You can also sit cross-legged on a cushion in order to immerse yourself in the culture.
If you visit, I would recommend you try the Shaolin bowl. It is one of the best bowls they offer: it comes with mouthwatering vegetables and the portion is huge enough to make you full. For two people, the average price can go up to 35€, including drinks. The place can be reached via S-Bahn, and regional Bahn and is an approximately 5-minute walk from the station.
