Sweet or salty? This question is as old as the invention of crèpes. At “La Chouette” (the owl) in Bern, the correct answer is without a doubt: both!

This does not mean that one crèpe is not enough to fill your stomach – it is, believe me. But how could you miss out on the Baileys-almond-cherry crèpe after being blown away by the salmon-kale-beetroot-wasabi one? Anyway, of course you can also settle for one of the timeless classics like cheese or chocolate. My favourite is the vegan Mexican – delicious!

Whatever you prefer, in this small, cozy, woody restaurant you will instantly feel at home. The prices are more than reasonable. And the best thing: on weekends “La Chouette” is open ALL NIGHT LONG. Crèpe is the new kebab, yay!
