Domino is an oriental pearl and shouldn’t be confused with the soulless fast food chain. They offer a very nice selection of traditional Lebanese dishes, mezze and mixed mezze plates, making foodies happy as much as picky eaters. The menu also includes satisfying vegetarian and vegan options beyond the ordinary salad.
Everything I tried so far was perfectly spiced and full of flavor, but my all-time favorite is their Baalbeck plate (as shown above): succulent grilled lamb skewers accompanied by a bounty of small delicacies like Tabbouleh, kibbeh and stuffed grape leaves. The mixed plates are copious, therefore I have to confess that I have never made it to the desserts. It’s a shame, because they look mouthwatering!
You won’t believe how incredibly hard it is to write about their food without drooling instantly… For this reason, Domino is the perfect mood lifter! As soon as you enter the cozy, dim-lit restaurant, you are greeted by smiling staff and negative thoughts fade away. There is just one cloud on the horizon: Domino is popular and well frequented. Making a reservation is advisable, especially for Friday nights.
If you like to top off the evening culturally (and aren’t a food coma victim like me…) you should go next door to cinema Rex and enjoy a decent flick!
