Leichtsinn in German means light-headed but also thoughtless, and I must say, it describes this spot pretty well, because it manages the balancing act between gastropub and wine bar effortlessly. Also, it is said that some guests leave Leichtsinn quite light-headed after having tasted a good amount of their tempting wines…
What makes Leichtsinn unique is their raw delicacies. They offer delicious ceviche (south American dish consisting of raw fish cured in citrus juice) and tartares all year round. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste amazing. Don’t worry if you don’t like raw meat and fish. You can also go for their salads or hummus. Also their snack and nibbles offer for happy hour is a good bet at 5 Franks.
Every now and then, Leichtsinn organizes wine tastings and concerts. The atmosphere is very intimate and relaxing, guaranteeing good vibes.
Leichtsinn is very centrally located, just next to the Zytglogge clock tower. You could combine this gastronomical highlight with some history: marvel at the astronomic clock (four minutes before every full hour) or take a tour of the clock tower and enjoy the views of the old town.
