Many bars, restaurant and shops in Bern’s old town are located in cellars. They have a special atmosphere – cozy, quaint and breathing of history. Among them, I find On Tap especially inviting to linger. It has a warm atmosphere with vintage furniture.

What makes them stand out is their awesome selection of 12 craft beers on tap that change regularly. You can always taste several regional/Swiss beers, but you find international beers too. Furthermore, you are spoiled for choice with 60 beers in the bottle.

Drinking beer usually comes with an appetite for me. With your order you get served malt kernels to nibble on, however I always feel tempted to order their mixed plate of cheeses and deli meat. It comes with finger-licking good bread and focaccia. There are other options such as Flammkuchen and Tatar as well..The quality of the ingredients is excellent and the price reasonable.

In my humble opinion, this place is both suitable for a tête-à-tête or a relaxed evening with your beer-loving friends.
