Prozess is quite off the beaten track – it lies across the rails, outside of the city center. I discovered it by accident, when cycling to my garden plot, and was drawn in by the laid-back atmosphere of their terrace and people listening to an outdoor concert in the grass.
It is quite a unique place, with no counterpart in Bern. I am very fond of their cultural events, which never fail to stimulate my senses. They range from classical concerts, dance performances, DJ nights, theater and more abstract conceptual art performances (often exploring boundaries between space and sound). Also, it’s worth mentioning that the events in Prozess are very accessible – events are often pay-what-you-want.
Besides providing a varied cultural programme, Prozess is a neighborhood meeting place and café-bar with snug armchairs, quaffable ciders and drinks, too.
The location should by no means discourage you to pay Prozess a visit! The area is safe and it is actually only five minutes from Europaplatz, which you can reach by train (2 minutes from the main station) or tram 7 or 8 (10 minutes from the main station).
