If you have ever enjoyed Thai food in Thailand, you know that back in Europe the same meals can sometimes be quite disappointing. However, there is one big exception you can find in Bern: Tab Tim offers Thai food that will make you think you’re being served right from a food stall in the bustling roads of Bangkok!
From classic Tom Kha and Tom Yum soup to all the different curries and fried rice or fried noodles specialities, Tab Tim offers everything that will either make you miss Thailand or make you want to go there for the first time.
Apart from the papaya salad which didn’t really convince me, every meal I’ve ever ordered has been spot on: the Massaman curry is nicely creamy, the green curry offers a perfect balance of the different herbs and the fried veggies with ginger come with the right amount of spicy chili.
The service is super quick — even when the restaurants are full, you’ll usually have your meal after 15 minutes max. Restaurants plural? Yes! Tab Tim are actually 2 restaurants right next to each other: Tab Tim 1 and Tab Tim 2. Like the Thais would say: Same same but different!
