If you thought Bern was harmless and boring, it is time you discovered its dark side!

The abandoned house with the number 54 built in 1450 is said to be haunted. It has been uninhabited since 1895 and is wreathed in numerous urban legends. For example, there is the story about two students who didn’t believe in paranormal activity and had a sleep-in. Apparently, they were nerve-wrecked the next morning and their hair had turned white. It is also said that a woman, dressed all in black, strolls after midnight through the house. Others told about having seen jack-o’-lanterns and yet another tale is about a headless lady that appears at the window exactly at midnight.
