As the son of a pilot who has been employed with KLM for 35 years and a KLM stewardess who has taken me on many trips abroad as a kid, our national “Royal Dutch” airline has always had a very special place in my heart.
When we were booking our flight to the US (to meet Spotters in our new 7 North American destinations), we asked KLM if they would like to pay for our ticket in return for us writing about our experiences on our blog, and staying in touch via social media.
We’re super happy they agreed! We also think it’s quite courageous of them, because – as we always want to be impartial – we have made no agreements at all about what we will write or post about them.
We thought it would be nice to highlight some things that make KLM stand out in this highly competitive airline industry where it sometimes doesn’t seem to matter which airline you take. We feel that if you fly KLM, you get something “special”.
We’ll write about that special “KLM vibe” in a series of short postings over the next few weeks…
And of course, we’ll write about how we experienced our flight from Amsterdam to San Francisco last week(in short: great!), and New York to Amsterdam in a few weeks.
