Spotter in the spotlight: Ewelina from Krakow!

This week’s Spotter in the spotlight is Ewelina Tłuczek from Krakow!

Unlike most Krakow locals, Ewelina is not originally from Krakow; but it’s like her second home because she has been living there since 2002. Living her life to the fullest every day is her way of  expressing her motto ”Carpe diem”! She enjoys traveling, reading books, listening to music, meeting with friends and meeting new people. You can safely say that she is an all-around social butterfly. Ewelina has been a Spotter for almost 3 years now and having her on the team has surely been great! We’re sure others looking for travel tips in Krakow will feel the same way.

Ewelina loves Krakow because you can do whatever you want and she feels free and at peace knowing that she can go from watching the sunset and the view of the city at Wawel Hill, to drinking a nice cold beer at the Market Place.

A small selection of Ewelina’s favorite spots:

Krakuska Sztuka Ludowa

Folk arts and wonderful small souvenirs such as dolls, sculptures, fridge magnets, bracelets, necklaces, scarves, and mugs are just a few of some of the products which you can find at this lovely small store in the city of Krakow. However, it is not just a shop but also a gallery filled with Folk art that you will certainly appreciate and admire.

A little advice from Ewelina: only your imagination or budget can be a limit!

 Lipowa 6

This wine heaven isn’t just selling any regular wine but they are truly sticking to the concept of “Krakó slow wines” so your taste buds will definitely experience real wine. However, if you’re not fond of wine they also offer beers (Polish or Georgian), ciders or even mineral water.

And if that’s not enough, the fact that you can sit either outside or inside while enjoying different delightful types of drinks should be very satisfying. But that’s not all Lipowa 6 has to offer you, they also have savory snacks like proziaki from Podkarpacie from the lunch menu.

Bococa Bistro

A combination of hearty healthy and delicious breakfast, snacks, juices, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, and pastas can be found at this charming  bistro. An absolutely new and industrial indoor concept with a lovely and cozy ambience that will make you feel right at home.

A local tip from Ewelina:  They offer other suggestions for “lunch of the day” that you won’t find on the menu – just ask someone at the bar, look at the blackboard or search for it on their FB page!

Harris Piano Jazz

Harris Piano Jazz Bar Krakow

Its all about jazz! Well, at Harris Piano Jazz you’ll experience a combination of live jazz concerts and artists performing funky, soul and blues. Spending an evening at Harrris Piano Jazz will make you feel nostalgic because all the music will surely bring back memories!

Local tip from Ewelina, if you can play an instrument why not join the musicians on stage during a jam session or just listen to them, see and feel the joy of life which is in every tune they play!

 Botanic Garden

“The Botanic Garden of Jagiellonian University is one of the oldest parks in Krakow and also the oldest botanical garden in Poland.”

The perfect location to relax your mind by just breathing in the fresh air and taking in the view. Loosen up your body while you walk around and discover new plants from around the World. Bonus: it’s located in the middle of the city!
