Often, it is a pity to opt for bed & breakfast at your hotel when travelling, because you lose opportunities such as this one to have a nice breakfast outside. Kava Bar is a perfect place to start your day in Bratislava. I first discovered it on my way to the riverbank while running, and was very tempted to end my exercise when passing by the windows where a bunch of freshly baked cakes were waiting and the smell of coffee was calling me inside! Still, I stayed disciplined and decided to go for a proper try at Kava Bar dressed like a normal person 🙂
My choice was the lemony hummus with a touch of olive oil and pepper, crunchy black olives and true pita bread pieces. Just perfect! But if you’re a croissant-lover, you should for sure try these. They are the most frequent choice of customers, who do not hesitate to wait a couple of minutes to have their freshly baked piece. You can upgrade them with some nutella or jam, or why not try the salty ham & cheese version.
The number of true coffee-loving Italian people that I’ve come across in this place persuaded me that Kava Bar’s coffee comes up to the highest standards. Plus, it is served in a nice collection of old porcelain cups, what a treat! You can fully enjoy drinking it while looking through the big windows and admiring the morning glory from the Castle hill.
