The Miletička Market is one of the oldest fresh markets in Bratislava. As such, it has a special atmosphere, which makes your shopping more than “getting some food”.
What can you get here? First of all, fresh vegetables and fruits. Aromatic, tasty domestic tomato, celery, carrot, apple or potato – for coins actually. Milk products, such as Slovak cheese specialties are not missing, nor are fresh meat from the most talkative butcher ever or several types of tasty pickles.
There are also some small stands on Miletička Market serving lángoš and kofola, gofry or other Slovak fast food “specialties”. If you would like to try it, go on, but the home made food is just better 😉 What more could you buy? Flowers, flowers and flowers as well as some Chinese kitsch. (Fortunately, the latter one is present only at one of the alleys.)
I love to stroll among the stalls, love the smell of fresh food and the Saturday breakfast prepared from the freshly bought ingredients is just delicious!
