I love second-hand shops. They combine the uniqueness of the selection and they have also α recycling aspect to them so they are helping us save our planet, even if just a tiny little bit.
Concept store Nosene, which in Slovak means “already worn”, started as one of them. Now, the store combines three main concepts – second-hand, design shop and charity workshop. You can find here used clothes for cheap prices, as in any other second hand. However, that’s interesting is where the money from your purchases go. A percentage of profits from sold clothes is sent to help finance women’s shelters in Slovakia. Nosene also organize collections for different reasons. For example, by buying certain pieces of clothing you can help one specific person afford to go to university.
Nosene also came with concept of Renewals. Their designers take old clothes and resew them to be more modern and fashionable pieces. For example, a dress froman old men’s shirt. You can also find local designs of shoes and jewelry here. So if you are a conscious shopper, or you want to help others and at the same time look original, I could not recommend Nosene more.
