Place Store Bratislava is part of a Czechoslovakian franchise with a very interesting concept. They are basically selling homemade products, which is pretty common these days I admit.
These items vary from jewelry, shoes, clothes or home accessories to natural cosmetics. Place Store came up with a twist. The store itself does not take a provision from the price, so everything you pay is going straight to the creator of the product. In return, designers are renting their selling space, for example one shelf. People from the store will review products by creators in a setup meeting and if they’re selected their things will be available in the store.
I think this idea is very helpful for those people who are skilled in their craft but maybe do not know how to create their own brand or do not want to have their own space yet.
The interior is very minimalist almost Scandinavian and the staff is always extremely nice and resourceful, so I would recommend Place Store not just for creators, but definitely for good old consumers, like myself.
