It’s important to do something good for your body from time to time, and there’s no reason to stop your exercise when in Bratislava, since the city offers so many sporting opportunities. I don’t think you have discovered the city enough if you never experienced running (or at least walking) along the river bank. After all, the Danube is one of the most beautiful things to see in Bratislava.
Thus, it is an excellent idea to start your sunny weekend by putting on your trainers and casting yourself out of the bed for a little run.
The riverbank is a traditional host of many running contests in Bratislava (e.g. the Night run in September or the Marathon in March), so you can imagine it provides you with good running conditions. The track goes on both sides of the river and connects all of Bratislava’s bridges. I like to run on the city center side from Eurovea in the direction of Riverpark during the evenings to watch the beautiful sunset over the river. The opposite bank, on the other hand, offers you perfect views of the Old Town with its castle and cathedral.
