When I first entered this place, I felt like Columbus discovering America. It’s been months, maybe years, since I first heard rumours about this place, but nobody was ever able to provide clear directions, so it took me some time to say – hey, I’m gonna find it.
An important impetus was my desperate longing for the Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream that I used to enjoy when I was abroad, and that has not yet decided to enter the Slovak market, thus I needed to cross the borders of the Czech Republic or Austria to get one. Until finally I found out that it was useless!
Seoul Plaza is a grocery store that you come across on the way from the “Three Towers” to the Polus City Center, and which, unlike its name suggests, offers much more than Korean food. You can find items that travelled here from the US, UK, Italy or Thailand and buy ingredients for your Japanese, Indian or Mexican cooking. It’s filled with innumerable varieties of popular snacks and drinks that you might have never seen before. It’s fun just to go there and look over the aisles and wonder how such products exist at all! Go and see yourself – it’s like a consumables museum 🙂
