Shopping in second-hands has become very fashionable in recent years and I personally think that is great. It is good for the environment, it is cheaper when it comes to ratio between quality and price and it creates more diversity in fashion. On the other hand, what is popular can be easily exploited. Many second-hands became even more expensive than regular shops under the cover of labels like vintage or retro, when in reality they do not sell either. This is the reason why I love Textile house second-hand stores so much. The chain of stores presents itself as it is: simple but efficient.
There are almost ten Textile house stores in Bratislava and you can find there anything – different styles, sizes, clothes for women, men, babies, toys, shoes, bags, accessories, they have it all. If you are looking for out-standing piece of fashion by a high-end brand or small designer, you can find it if you are lucky and willing go through it all. If you are looking just for normal clothes but for a bargain, you have to come to Textile house store near the end of every month. Every Textile house store is changing the entirety of its clothes every month, so the last few days before this change you can buy everything from 5 euros to 50 cents, depends on the day. I have most of my wardrobe from Textile house and I will just say that I have never had a faux pas concerning outfit twining.
