La Case Creole – Food from Reunion Island

The first time I went to La Case Creole I knew nothing about Brussels, it was so long ago. My work colleague brought me there to celebrate my new job.

The second time, I brought my dad who normally doesn’t eat any exotic food. When, at the end of the meal, he declared himself satisfied, I knew I had found the perfect place for “difficult” people like dad.

This place is not too big and not too busy, which I like, as I never need to book when I wanna go. The 2 women running it are sweet and welcoming.

The main dishes are good sized but a shared starter is always a good idea. I normally eat the cari (Indian curry spices with a touch of local spices) but one time I tried the “porcinet” (pork, see the picture) and found it superb.

To end a perfect dinner, you can try one of the infused rums they have on the counter. Let your taste buds enjoy!
