On Louis Lepoutre Avenue, only a couple of minutes away on foot from the aristocratic Square Brugman, you’ll find brasserie Toucan with its little sister, Toucan sur Mer, next to it. The decoration of the brasserie manages to create a classy yet laid back atmosphere, equally ideal for you to meet your future mother-in-law or get together with your friends for a cosy dinner. As for the food, you can be sure that at Toucan they take the content of your plate to heart. Succulent beef, duck leg, pork shoulder, but also a wide variety of the freshest seafood from the neighbouring Toucan sur Mer. My partner’s favourite is the small whole-shell fried crab, while I go for the beef tartar, definitely one of the best I have ever tried in town. At Toucan the menu is updated regularly to include seasonal ingredients. All to be accompanied by fine wines of course!
Should the weather treat you with a mild evening, the brasserie has a small terrace to sit outside. Toucan offers valet service or, if you don’t even want to move from home, also delivery service of its platters!
