Les Dodi is back, right in front of the Cinquantenaire Park in Etterbeek!

This ice cream parlour has been a big hit within the italian community when it opened few years ago. It then had to close because their lease expired, and then Covid came, and we all lost faith in the reopening.

But it did, and I am so so so happy! It’s a real Italian ice cream, there’s not much more to say. Good ingredients, perfect texture, Italian flavour, everything homemade. You have creamy or fruity flavours, you can either get the cone or the cup, and you can even buy a tub to bring as dessert to a dinner, you’ll impress your hosts. 🙂

The only drawback is the random opening hours. They differ if you check on Google or Facebook, and sometimes, it’s closed when it should be open. It bothers me, but there is nothing I can do; it’s a hit-or-miss.

When it’s closed, I cross the street and enter the Cinquantenaire park for a walk. Now that the good weather has arrived, I may stop at the Maurice Guinguette (a pop-up bar), where you can get a drink or some food in a relaxing atmosphere.

Try it!

PS: Random fact: In 2010, in the same space, I ran a monthly Italian apero event, one of the first in Brussels, with two Italian and an Egyptian friend… Such good memories!
