I love chocolate. And cakes. And any combination of the two, which gives a whole new meaning to the word “bliss”. Add a little Greek flavor to such wonders and you get… Agapitos.
This is one of those pastry shops where my will and control are powerless, simply because I just cannot help buying the wonderful cakes they have there. Of course, you can’t just buy one, because there are various assortments that simply take your breath away and not trying them all would really be a shame, wouldn’t it?
My all-time favorites are the chocolate mousse and the hionulla (with cream and fruit and white frosting). The yoghurt square cakes are also to die for, but all the barely pronounceable Greek names make it even more tempting for you to try the rest as well.
Luckily (or unfortunately, depending on how much you’re in love with your silhouette), they have multiple locations across the city, so if your blood sugar is low or if you fancy several minutes of pure ecstasy, you’ll be quite safe.
All the important landmarks in my Bucharest life have been celebrated over a delicious Agapitos cake. Not that I’d forget those moments anyway, but let’s just say that Agapitos enhances those memories!
