Bagels, donuts, cheese pies, sausage rolls, pita bread with different fillings, these are everywhere in Bucharest. There’s a local joke about Romanians’ favorite meal being the bagel. So, why Andreea F pastry shop? Why another pastry shop?
Because it is not just another place. They are the only ones who make traditional Romanian salty cheese pie-the old recipe plus cheese and raisin pie, apple and other pastries in their own artisan lab. They also make delicious tarts, poppy seed or carrot cakes by the slice and salty treats. They are always freshly baked and carefully created. And that’s very rare when it comes to Romanian pastry shops. It’s so rare, in fact, that most of us hunt down the “merdenea” (cheese filled pastry) in search for the perfect balance between grease, pastry and salty, maturated cheese.
I finally found it here, at Andreea F.
