Expirat – Club, terrace & history

Expirat (Expired) is a club with tradition in Romania – founded in 2002, with a memorable presence at the seaside too, in Vama Veche.

The Bucharest club had to close in 2015, but it reopened in autumn 2016, in a converted industrial building (Halele Carol): bigger, safer, more hip, with a beautiful design and a wonderful heated terrace (highly praised by smokers).

Expirat actively supports the alternative culture in Bucharest and organizes live concerts and DJ sessions every week. Thursdays are usually dedicated to KING SIZE drinks and there’s also some street food available on the terrace.

The playlist usually caters for all tastes and Carol Park is right next to the club, in case you need to go for a nice walk before or after partying hard.

If you’re planning to go out clubbing on Friday or Saturday, my advice is to get to Expirat before 23:00, since it can get pretty crowded at the entrance and it would be a pity to stand in a line when you can stand on the dance floor instead, with a proper drink in your hand.

Please check the Facebook page of the club for an up-to-date full schedule.
