FruFru is the quirky little shop that sells yogofiber, fresh pasta, delicious soups, low carb bread sandwiches, pasta salads, lunch boxes and reinvented grandma recipes (try “dessert cu grau”, i.e. dessert with wheat and you’ll know what I’m talking about). It’s the handiest food shop in the Universitate area, the ground zero of Bucharest, to get a quick and, most of all, healthy bite before you start visiting the city.
What I like about it, aside from the fact that it’s dangerously close to the area I live in, is that everything is fresh. The detox juices are perfect to kick off your morning on a healthy note and the low-bread sandwiches are excellent for a work-day lunch on the go. They come up with new products quite regularly, which is great for such a small shop, and, on top of it, you can be sure they use the freshest organic ingredients available.
