The Eden Garden is one of the gems opened in the last years in Bucharest. If you feel that the packed terraces and bars in the old city of Bucharest are too much for you, then you can “hide” from all of these here at Eden. You’ll feel like you’re on a stranded island, without getting the feeling that you’re still in the center of the city.
Eden Garden has an amazing feeling, it’s like you’re in a “jungle” right in the heart of the city, surrounded by a very relaxed atmosphere. There are hammocks around the place, nice lights at night and good, local beer. The terrace is actually situated in the garden of the Stirbei Palace and it’s open even during autumn/winter time, as they have a closed terrace. Recently they have also opened a bistro (Eden Bistro) in the Palace and in the basement of the same palace you’ll find Eden Club, usually open during the weekend for a lot of cool parties.
The Ştirbey Palace was built in 1835 in a Neoclassical style, according to the plans of the French architect, Sanejouand. This elegant palace belonged to the Stirbei royal family for a while. Its current summer garden used to be a beautiful garden attended by the high class society that usually socialized at the Ştirbey Palace.
