“Lente” is the Spanish word for slow. And that’s exactly how time spent here is.
Sufrageria Lente (Lente Living-room) is also the bigger sister of Lente Café (check the Lente Cafe article). Even though they bear the same name, they’re slightly different in the choice of menu, including excellent pasta (with quite big portions, mind you!), salads and desserts, as well as in decoration. The inside looks exactly like a living room and, during the cold season, it’s perfect to gather your friends around and play board games.
During the summer, everyone goes for the terrace, which is completely shaded by the trees, allowing you to cool down over a nice glass of wine. One note on the staff: they’re the sweetest I’ve ever seen in Bucharest! If you didn’t know better, you’d think they make the food themselves, because they tell you about the dishes on the menu so passionately that you’d want to order everything!
I’ve nearly missed it twice because the entrance is quite small, but once past the gate, I had the feeling I was following the famous yellow brick road – except that it’s not yellow. You’ll know what I mean when you go there :). Have fun!
