Everybody knows the famous spas of Budapest, behind them any other wet activities are a bit overshadowed. But if you need something more eventful, Bliss and Body is worth a try. This spot is one of the few downtown places that provides a total recreation for fairly little money, in a cozy and modern dress.
I used to have two separate sessions there: the first is the dry part, when I do exercises such as running, lifting weights, etc. They have all the facilities for all the parts of your body to get busy.
The second round I spend in the swimming pool area, where you can find a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a pool just big enough to swim in a way you can take yourself seriously.
There is only a glass wall to divide wet and dry parts so everybody can see one another. It is always amusing to observe how people pretend to not to look at the other side, where ones are relaxing in a jacuzzi in bikini, or the other side, where others are sweating in training getup. The part glass ceiling above the pool was also a bright idea, it is cheerful to look up at it sometimes and enjoy the view of snow or the sun’s beams.
The international audience is quite a benefit here. As the whole complex is a part of a four-star hotel, you can always meet foreigners, not only the local action movie characters like in many gyms.
