From its extravagant slogan “Naked in the woods” to the floral pattern painted over the wooden door, this naturalist coffee shop is like a tiny cave full of vegetation and cute fauna. It’s in the downtown district, in that little net of ways leading to commercial Váci street, close to Károlyi Kert.
The smart lighting and the plants hanging from the ceiling create a bright indoor space, while the wide arch is reminiscent of a natural ravine.
I am more for traditional coffee, but the blends they serve here are light and palatable. It’s a green bean coffee called “Catalyst” from Colombia and it’s direct trade, meaning that all the money goes to the producer, not to intermediaries. Makes me feel better about consuming something produced 10,000 km away.
When really thirsty, I go for a sugar-free natural lemonade with fresh mint: they serve it with a smile and in a cute glass bottle. There are seats outside, which I favour when it’s no too warm or if I am in company. To work on my laptop I find the inside is very well thought out, with plugs and both stools & normal seats and enough room to accommodate roughly 15 people.
I love how special this coffee shop is; it brings some sunlight even to those few dark days Budapest has.
Ps: When you come here check out the Wifi password, it will make you smile.
PPs: I recommend NOT taking off your clothes, just enjoy the freedom the café exudes.
