Budapest has quite a lot of bars with terraces near the river, which have been created to welcome tourists from all over the world to enjoy the view, sunshine and a glass of great local wine.
Here is Kabin, with one important difference: it is made for the feeling, for the locals who had the river but not the terrace bar to enjoy the view in the desolate area of the IV. district where the M3 metro line ends. It has been open since early June and I’ve just loved it for my first two visits. It’s really not a sophisticated neigbourhood, but it’s the real jam at an outlying location you will find right under the bridge.
They offer the standard bar selection with some quality street food for a very reasonable price. It’s an island of calm for everybody who does not want to spend time and money in the tourist serving rooms downtown.
The place is outside and open so I would recommended it for good weather only, even at a late hour, since they don’t close early.
