Here come chillier times, it is time to move from the ruin pubs to warmer places where one can be served hot beverages like coffee, tea and hot cocoa.
I recently rediscovered Mozaik Teaház, a small teahouse at the very centre of Budapest: the last time I was here was when they started, about ten years ago, and Mozaik is going stronger than ever!
Named after the large mosaic depicting a Roman-style face on the right wall, this teahouse was always known to offer a really wide variety of great teas and coffees that you can enjoy while lounging on poufs or at a table.
What’s new is that now you can write on the walls, anything you want: you will see that others have already started to scribble messages, so don’t be shy and leave your mark! Also, they have a larger variety of breakfast foods, and they even have pies and lunch options, such as quiches.
Despite being at the beginning of Király street, Mozaik is never fully crowded so it’s an excellent place to relax while sipping on a Herbal chai (personal favorite!) or even a shisha upstairs.
