Whether for a hike, some fresh air, climbing, picnicking or doing BBQ, Róka-hegy (Fox hill) is an easily accessible spot from the capital. Throughout the entire year it is a beloved destination for many to walk around among the limestone giants of Róka hill and adore the breathtaking panorama of the city. It is easily accessible with the HÉV suburban train going towards Szentendre. Depart from Csillaghegy and walk on for a bit to find the hills. There are multiple little routes to reach Róka hill, it is relatively easy to find it.

In about an hour you can discover most caves and hills of Rókahegy. Once I’ve had enough from the exercise, I enjoy finding a nice place to settle down and charge myself with the panorama and the quiet surrounding nature. Róka-hegy is ideal for a few-hour-trip as well es for a whole day program if you get prepared and bring some snacks with you.
