For Noémi and Gábor, the owners of Tényleg Espresso Bar it was really a dream-come-true to open their third wave coffee shop in the 9th district of Budapest. This dedicated couple wanted a place where people could really taste the vanilla, blackberry or orange flower aromas in a little cup of espresso. At the very beginning they left their jobs and were at the shop every day. Now they are back to the desk, but you can still meet them personally on Saturdays in Lónyay street. Away from the touristy area but still in the center, they provide something that the locals of this gentrifying neighbourhood appreciate a lot and a big part of their guests are old customers.
The single origin beans are changed every 2-3 weeks with the help of Lucky Cap, a roastery in Szekszárd in the South of Hungary. The best way to drink a cappuccino here is with a cake on the side, created by Noémi. Of course, you won’t be disappointed either if filter is your favourite.
