I like animals, I grew up in a family house and we always had several pets around, dogs, cats, goats, and fish. When I moved to Budapest I really missed the company of animals, but could not adopt one for a number of reasons. I found ways to visit animals, be it a friend’s pet or an animal shelter where I volunteered several times in the past.

When I discovered Animal café, I got really happy, as I could experience animal company in a nice setting. The place is truly amazing, as it has several kinds of animals, such as cats, hamsters, rabbits, various lizards, and birds. The cafe’s mission is to bring humans and animals closer together, as there you not only watch animals but can also get to know them and pet. While you are enjoying your drinks and cakes, the staff brings different animals to your table, so that you can literally get acquainted with them. My favorite experience was with a chameleon, who was quite confidently climbing my hands and arms.

At Zoo Café you can get insights into keeping the animals, their habits, and other peculiarities. The staff is friendly and ready to answer your questions. One of the ideas behind the place is to give a possibility for those who want to adopt an animal to try spending some time with them at the café. This place is also an excellent opportunity to cheer up, as hanging out with animals is great therapy!
