Falak cafe is my second home. It is near my workplace so I can’t stop myself from passing by & checking their latest exhibitions. Falak is a friendly cafe. I see all types of people here. It has many options and possibilities and it’s unlike other cafes. It feels as if you’re at home there.
Falak is a big place with many rooms & tables, outdoors and indoors. Whenever I want to finish any task, I go there and I find students, couples and adults with their laptops. It is always crowded and has a lot of art & exhibitions. Most of my accessories I got from Falak which is distinguished by its oriental touch to silver designs. It saves time for me — I don’t have to go to far-away Khan Khilili, it is brought here to me.
It is an exhibition for fashion designers to display their products, which of course all different, as they’re handmade products with Arab influences.
The walls in Falak also work as a showcase for many artists who draw various types of art. It is also an urban initiatives platform.
The role of Falak do not end at what I have mentioned above: it also has workshops & artistic events. Once, I attended an event run by a photographer who was showing his photos from his journey in African countries. It was an amazing night.
