Kasr el dobara is my escape place. When everything in my life goes wrong, I go to it and I feel serenity & intangible peace. The Evangelical Church (KDEC) is the largest Christian church in the Middle East with 7,000 worshipers each week. Their primary church is located in Cairo, Egypt, where protests, unrest, and sometimes violence occur as a result of political, ethnic, and religious differences.
Despite these daily challenges, KDEC boldly shares God’s love with Christians and Muslims through evangelical sermon, church planting, and community outreach. Kadr Dobara played an important role during the Egyptian revolution, as it was a hospital for all injured people.
Kasr dobara welcomes all people from different countries & religions. I always go to praise & sing with other people and I feel like I’m released from every pressure outside — it is a retreat. Whenever I am inside it, I also feel like I’m in an ancient historic building, as it has a distinguished building with a clock, like western buildings. It provides translations in english to all sermons.
