This rooftop is a hidden gem in Zamalek, as it is tricky to find out rooftops that are worth visiting. My friend took me to it, as there was no sign indicating that we would experience such an unforgettable night in such a place.
We went to an unknown hotel in Zamalek which looks old. It was the 2-star hotel called Nile Zamalek. We took the elevator to the roof. I was fascinated by the view of the Nile at night. It overlooks the Nile and the World Trade Center and Conrad hotel buildings on the other side. It is a rooftop terrace bar that is quiet and secluded yet easy to get to when you’re dying for a cold drink.
This rooftop is a suitable to meet fellow travelers or a group of friends. It is crowded at night, with expats looking for beer or shisha & also couples or group friends. It is a place which suits all ages. They don’t offer good food — I eat the bar snacks besides my drinks.
This rooftop is a worn down hangout that’s more about the impeccable view and fresh air than anything else. The service is not quite so good, but my goal was to have a chilled drink & the breath-taking weather in summer is all I wanted.
