Blue Door Farm Stand cultivates a farm to table experience in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Their chefs let the seasons dictate what’s on the menu by featuring seasonal ingredients from local farms and farmer’s markets.
Blue Door’s approachable dining experience is set in their sprawling and brightly lit two-floored space. This welcoming oasis is great for large group dinners with family or meeting up with a few friends for a leisurely lunch or casual brunch.
Their brunch and lunch lineups include sandwiches appropriate named after the nearby CTA Transit stop lines (brown and purple). Other mainstays during the day include the Sunrise BLT, Diner Classic and Buttermilk Pancakes. One of my favorite anytime menu items here is a Midwest classic, cheese curds. Their fried cheese curds are taken up a notch with the addition of some tangy pickled peppers and creamy buttermilk ranch. For dinner, you can’t go wrong with their half Amish chicken or seasonal pasta dishes. And of course, you can savor some of the freshly baked breads and pastries anytime knowing they are all made fresh everyday in-house.
