Brooklyn Boulders is difficult to really place as a thing. When you first see the space it is an obvious rock-climbing gym and plyometrics gym. However, they have so many other things there as well. They have a bunch of classes including acro-yoga, regular yoga, breakdancing, parkour, silks, and kettlebells not to mention some of the best indoor climbing I’ve seen in Chicago.
The guys who started the space were really trying to bring all of these underground cultures together and make them easily accessible to the public.
I’ve been to quite a few parties here and I’ve got to say I have been impressed. If you do make it out here make sure to ask if the secret speakeasy is open.
This location is really close to a great “foodie” area. I love going rockclimbing and heading over to a place like Green Street Smoked Meats for some fantastic brew and smoked meats.
