Burnt City Brewing – Bowling and beer

There are lots of places in Chicago where you can grab a bite to eat, drink a beer, and go bowling with friends. However, Burnt City Brewing is unique because the pub doubles as a brewery. There’s a rotating drafts depending on the season, and since it is a small brewpub, I was surprised by the amount of beers they have at any given time (over a dozen!).

They also have a nice food selection, and no surprise, a lot of their foods incorporate beer cheese. I highly recommend the pretzels and the mac and cheese. The portions are massive, so you can always order a couple of items and share.

After you eat and drink, you can always head over to the bowling room and book a lane. You can book a lane in one or two hour increments, and there are comfy couches to hang out on when you aren’t showing off your bowling skills. While you can just walk in and bowl, you can also make a reservation in advance which could be helpful on weekends.

They also have special events, so check out their calendar!
