Chicago French Market – French indoor market

This European-style indoor market is conveniently located at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in the loop. The market has a fresh produce section where you can buy fruits and vegetables, select poultry, meat and seafood and prepped salads. But don’t be fooled by the name; it is most popular for the numerous local food vendors offering cuisines from around the world. I often pick up either fresh produce or my favorite pho from the Saigon Sisters on my way back after work or meet my husband at Frietkoten for a quick beer and bite before heading home.

The vendor list keeps changing but there are a few long-timers like Aloha Poke, Pastoral and Saigon Sisters. There are new events and offers from vendors every month so do check out their website for the latest updates.

Smaller vendors set up shop in the commuter concourse area right next to the market from time to time. Happy Hours on Monday to Friday and Rush Hour concert series on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 16:30 – 18:30.
