Crushed is a local pizzeria in the north Lakeview/Ravenswood neighborhood specializing in hand stretched-thin crust pies. I love their pizza because it’s slightly thicker than your typical east-coast thin crust and offers enough to satisfy my inner #carbiebarbie with deliciously crispy, chewy and slightly sweet crust.

When it comes to picking your toppings, they offer some delightful specialty pies, some of which are more traditional and others that challenge the traditional combinations. If you don’t mind a bit of heat and something a bit different, get the T.C. Topped with pineapple, pickled jalapeños and all sorts of other stuff, the melding of these flavors together is sweet, savory and sooo addictive! If you want something more traditional, the Venus is always a crowd-pleaser and really showcases the amazing flavors of their crushed tomato sauce.  You can absolutely pick your own toppings and make your own pie, but why not be adventurous!? That’s just my opinion 🙂

If you want to stay on the healthier side they have fresh salads or go for the Rose pizza which has your greens on top — win/win!  Also #winning is the fact this place has got outdoors seating in the warmer months and also is BYOB – so bring your wine, beer or libation of choice.

If you’re flying solo they’ll prepare you a single slice with your choice of toppings:).
