If you love locally sourced foods, seasonal menus, and trying a little bit of everything that’s on the menu, then Daisies, which is located in the heart of Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, is the restaurant for you.
The dinner menu at Daisies is phenomenal. The food is sourced from a local farm, so you can always expect fresh ingredients. Since the ingredients are all local, the menu changes regularly based on seasonality, so there’s always something new to try.
The menu is split into three sections: starters, pastas, and specials. Most of the menu is vegetarian (which is great for non-meat eaters like me!) with the exception of the specials. The specials rotate on a daily basis and are protein-based.
The portions are on the smaller side, so you can try different items. When I go with my friends, we each pick a starter and a pasta for the table.
I’m also a fan of the cocktails, although I’m usually more of a wine drinker with dinner. The cocktails also change regularly, but the bartenders put a unique twist on classic drinks such as a beet old-fashioned.
You can make reservations on the Daisies website, so I highly recommend you check it out. When you’re done with your meal, there are a number of cool bars in the area for after dinner drinks too.
