Daley Plaza – Meeting point in the loop

Daley Plaza is like a gathering point in the loop. It’s my favourite plaza in the city. There is a Picasso sculpture located in the square and it is known to perplex viewers as it seems to look like a woman or a horse or entirely something else when viewed from different angles. I also like this spot as a great people watching spot when it is not the venue for either market. It is many a times an ideal central point in the city to meet someone or as the starting point for my day or night-out. It also is a starting point / main attraction for some of the city tours organised by travel organisations.

This square plays host to my favourite farmer’s market in the city on Thursdays in the summers and the Christmas market in the winter. This plaza also hosts the farmers market in the summers and the Christkindlmarkt (German Christmas market) during the winters.
