Here in Chicago we’re known for doing a good job on a few things… pizza being one of them :). We not only take good food and put our own spin on it, but in the 1940s some folks from the south brought Blues music to Chicago. From there, Chicago made it its own and started its own version of the blues.
So, if you are looking for a truly authentic musical experience featuring everything from Chicago-style blues to the delta blue, at one of the oldest and longest running blues clubs in Chicago, a trip to Kingston Mines is necessary.
Live music plays on two stages nightly. This no-frills joint is one of the best places to see some of the most talented blues musicians in Chicago. Stop in for drinks and tunes, or make a night of it and check out their full food menu with NOLA style ribs and more.
Weekends are generally more crowded so get there early to scout out seats, otherwise standing room is available and dance parties are welcome :).
