Located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, Lost Larson is a bakery and café inspired by the neighborhood. Lost Larson is known for their artisan breads made from freshly milled grains and unique pastries. Their cardamom buns and ‘princess cake’ – a traditional Swedish Princesstarta, consisting of alternating layers of sponge cake, pastry cream, and a thick-domed layer of whipped cream and covered with marzipan – are a few sweet favorites. Breads range from exotic limpa with anise and orange peel flavors to traditional baguettes, all made with Illinois-grown organic whole grains and milled in-house.
By day, enjoy pastries and hand-crafted coffees and lattes in their modern and chic café space. By night, enjoy sips from their curated wine list with customizable smorgasbords of cheese, smoked and cured fish, and pickled vegetables out back on their private patio in the summer. Really no matter the time of year or day, this place is a MUST for some delectably savory and sweet breads and treats.
