Saucy Porka – Not your typical lunch break

Looking for something a little different for lunch today? Look no further than the Saucy Porka. This little joint was featured on one of our local TV station shows “Chicago’s Best” for their signature dish, the saucy porka. The saucy porka is one of several of their bahn mi sandwich offerings topped with decadent pork carnitas and tangy kimchi.

As you can probably guess, the chefs that founded this place and created the menu, combine Asian and South American spices in a way that makes your mouth do the happy dance. I’ve never had anything like some of the things I have eaten here.

A great snack or my go to side dish are the sweet potato fries. They are dressed up with queso fresco cheese, green onions and a side of curry.

When I can’t make up my mind, which happens all the time when I’m here, I love to get a sampling of their Bao Tacos aka Bacos. The pork baco is on point!
