I’m a firm believer that there is always room for dessert, so with that being my main life motto, you can find me at Scooter’s pretty often.
Scooter’s is a local frozen custard shop in West Lakeview. Its corner location allows for lots of people to gather with their dogs, strollers, or friends to enjoy the fresh and creamy homemade frozen custard. On warm summer nights, you don’t even have to go inside because you can order from a sidewalk window.
At Scooter’s the frozen custard is made daily, so the flavors are always changing. A fan favorite at Scooter’s is a concrete, which is basically your choice of custard with a variety of toppings mixed in. They have different concoctions that you can pick from or you can create your own if you are feeling especially creative. There is always a “special” flavor concrete each month, too.
Can’t decide what to get? Ask the staff. They are super friendly and always up for a conversation or a recommendation, making it feel like more of a small-town neighborhood spot than a frozen custard joint in the middle of bustling city.
Hurry in quick – Scooter’s closes for the winter on December 1!
