The Globe Pub – Soccer, beer and song

This is first and foremost a great soccer (football) pub. The Globe Pub is one of the best places in Chicago to watch the English Premier League matches and all of the other top world leagues. The bar is full of dark woods and is teeming with international soccer memorabilia. It features plenty of seating along 3 main bars and numerous tables and comfortable seating areas.

The special atmosphere during matches sets this pub apart from its competition. The camaraderie and community you experience watching a match is an experience in and of itself. You might even hear groups of fans break out into team songs and chants.

A pub is only as good as the beer it offers and the Globe does not disappoint. You’ll find a perfectly poured pint of all the classic English beers necessary to enjoy a match. You’ll also find local craft beers and seasonal options that give the Globe a nice Midwestern touch.

The Globe does classic pub fare pretty well too. I like to get the traditional English breakfast with black pudding. Nothing is better than a traditional English breakfast before watching Arsenal on a Sunday morning.

The bar is open early for all the big soccer matches on the weekend and late at night for other local sports as well. The Globe has become a must visit sports bar that specializes in soccer but pays attention to all sports.
